My good friend Caleb Mast came and spent last Sunday and Monday with me. After I took a nice three hour Sunday afternoon nap, we went outside and I tried to take some portraits of him. I was fairly happy with the way they turned out. I discovered that tin is an interesting background to work with, and gives a neat look. We tried various locations, and messed around a lot with the flashes.
Anyways…
Most of the pictures were taken with the main light being an off-camera flash through an umbrella, and a few of them had a back light through a mini soft-box. On the last picture the main light was a bare flash at camera left, shot through a plant, and I used the umbrella light at slight camera right as fill.
