Busyness

I actually have been somewhat busy the past few days. I got back from the trip to Nicaragua, and got back and jumped back into stuff. While I was in Nicaragua I got an email asking me to help teach Bible school in Texistepeque. I decided to help them out since I’m an able-bodied male and I don’t have a good excuse not to. So that is what I’ve been doing every afternoon for the past three days. Its totally different though from my experience teaching when we had Bible school here. Then I had 15+ loud and rowdy children. I’m teaching 5th grade in Texistepeque, and they are so quiet and shy that I have to check every once in awhile to make sure their not sleeping. In the mornings I’ve been staying busy with Lamp and Light stuff. I picked up around 500 tests on Tuesday, so thats been keeping me busy.

The trip back from Nicaragua last Sun. afternoon was mostly uneventful. We left at 2pm, and drove to the El Salvador border. We got there right at 12am. We would have made it quicker, but we had too many bathroom stops, including one that was extra long because of an extremely large woman that managed to worm their way into the line in front of some of us, and then took about 10+ minutes to do whatever she needed to do. One of the tires was also low on air, so we had to spend time changing that. I was very sleeping while driving through the last hour of Honduras, so Kenneth drove the last few hours. I made it home at 4am, went to bed, and slept till 12.

I didn’t take many pictures in Nicaragua, so I don’t have many to post. I guess I’ll stick in the few better ones. Saturday evening after the wedding us ES folks went down to Jicaral for supper, and Susanna the parrot was walking around posing.

And with flash…

Here’s the sunset from that evening

Goodnight,
