playing with flowers

Hey! Last Sunday afternoon I spent some time outside by myself with my camera, flash, and some flowers. I was just playing around and practicing working with off-camera flash. (My dream is to be a “real” strobist when I get big.) So anyways… here is some of the stuff I came up with.

Before to long we are planning to go eat pupusas. That makes me quite happy, especially since we’ve finally found a good pupusaria again. There for a long time we had a hard time finding good pupusas. We went last night, and since we have some company here for the day we are taking them tonight.

I went to have Dr. Jana look at my wound/incision this afternoon, and she ended up having to burn some excess flesh off. She numbed it good, so it didn’t hurt then, but I’m not sure how good its going to feel once the numbness wears off. She was pleased with how it was healing, so I hope within a few weeks I should be all healed up and fine and better and all that. I must say I’m getting quit weary of the twice a day bandage changing and wound cleaning and the whole mess. I’m ready to be BETTER! When I remember how I was the week and a half after the surgery, then I do realize I have improved greatly, but its annoying that I’m taking this long to get over a simple appendectomy. o well…
